National Art Forum Reveals Talents from Across Bulgaria

City Art Gallery "Dechko Stoev" in Pomorie is organizing a large-scale biennial exhibition "Still Life", which brings together over 300 works by artists aged between 17 and 86 years old, showcasing the diversity of contemporary Bulgarian visual art.

A prestigious cultural event attracted the attention of the art community with a large-scale national exhibition, realized through the joint efforts of the Municipality of Pomorie, the Union of Bulgarian Artists, and the Ministry of Culture.

Gallery Director Milcho Talev emphasized the exceptional importance of the initiative, which provides a platform for artists from different generations. Out of the over 300 works presented, a jury chaired by Ivaylo Mirchev selected 130 for the official exhibition.

Lyuben Genov, Chairman of the Union of Bulgarian Artists, described the event as extremely important for contemporary Bulgarian culture. According to him, the exhibition represents a unique opportunity to recognize artistic talents and demonstrates the evolution of visual arts.

The official awards ceremony was conducted by representatives of local and state authorities. Deputy Mayors Yancho Iliev and Eng. Kuncho Gaydov presented awards on behalf of the Ministry of Culture and the Municipality of Pomorie.

Among the distinguished authors are:

• Dimitar Cholakov – Painting Award
• Dimo Kolibarov – Graphics Award
• Hristo Hristov – Sculpture Award
• Neli Pencheva – Union of Bulgarian Artists Award
• Gergana Dimitrova – Young Author from the Ministry of Culture
• Dimitar Petrov – Municipality of Pomorie Award
• Ivan Ninov – "Dechko Stoev" Art Gallery Award
• Bozhidar Tonev – "Chernomorsko Zlato" AD Award
• Boris Zhelev – WAVE RESORT Award

Additional partners such as Wave Resort and "Chernomorsko Zlato" AD also joined in supporting the event, presenting special awards through their representatives Tanya Gagova and the respective corporate representative.
