The Dechko Stoev City Art Gallery in Pomorie is showing the Balkan Quadrennial of Painting, "The Myths and Legends of My People". The exhibition comes from the Stara Zagora Art Gallery, the Pomorie gallery said.

Artists from several generations take part, united by the same theme.

According to the gallery, the works show how different artists interpret the mythical and mythological beliefs kept in each people's history. Some tell them through images, others through symbols.

The gallery says legends, customs, parables and rituals still feed the artists' own creative search. Over the years, this search has continued to shape artistic identity and visual art culture.

Dates and opening hours for the exhibition have not been announced.
