Burgas job centre will hold a job fair on 19 November from 10:00 am at the Youth International Centre in the Meden Rudnik district, its director Atanaska Yaneva said.
The fair is open to people looking for work in any field. Job seekers will meet employers face to face. The job centre sees the fair as a way to cut unemployment.
At the end of September, unemployment in the area the Burgas job centre covers was 3%. That is 0.3 percentage points higher than in 2025.
Yaneva called the rise slight. She said more people have signed up to look for work, especially since the summer tourist season ended.
There are fewer job ads at the centre than in summer, but still enough, the director said. Employers are now looking for machine operators, lathe operators, general labourers, electricians, teachers, doctors and others.
"Anyone who is interested can count on the job centre," Yaneva said.
The centre also reminded people that applications are now open for programmes under the National Employment Action Plan.
Across Bulgaria, nearly 14,000 unemployed people started work in September, and job vacancies rose by 12%.
