Poacher mayor went into hiding because of the flu
The mayor of Sozopol, Panayot Reizi, has canceled all meetings, claiming he is sick with the flu. Meanwhile, he and several of his accomplices have been caught poaching in a protected nature reserve, where they killed a pregnant doe. Reizi and his associates are now free, while the prosecution decides what charges to bring against them.
April 1st is April Fools’ Day in the EU as well
The International Day of Lies and Jokes on April 1st has a long history, dating back to the time of the Duke of Burgundy Philip and his jester in 1466. The tradition has spread throughout Europe and acquired a national character, with the "April fish" in France, the "April fools" in England, and considered an unlucky day in Germany and Austria. The holiday is celebrated in different ways in different countries, but everywhere it is associated with merriment, humor, and playful lies.
69-year-old grandmother from Nesebar gave birth to twins
A 69-year-old woman from Nessebar became the oldest mother in Bulgaria after giving birth to twins through a Caesarean section. The pregnancy is the result of artificial insemination conducted abroad, and the mother and the newborns are in good health.
