Privacy policy
This translation is provided for convenience. The Bulgarian version is the legally binding one.
At BurgasMedia.com (burgasmedia.com) we respect your right to privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and what rights you have under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and the Bulgarian Personal Data Protection Act.

4. Managing your consent
You manage consent for non-essential cookies (analytics and advertising) through the Google consent banner (Consent Management Platform, compatible with IAB TCF), which appears on your first visit. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time through the privacy settings link.
5. Sharing data
We do not sell or rent your personal data. Our service providers (processors) — hosting and Google (analytics and consent management) — may process data, but only on our instructions. We may also disclose data when the law requires it.
7. International data transfers
When we use Google services (Google Analytics, Google AdSense / Consent Management Platform), data may be transferred to and processed outside the European Economic Area (for example, in the US). Under the GDPR you have the right to: access your data; correct it; delete it ("right to be forgotten"); restrict processing; data portability; object to processing based on legitimate interest; and withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing before you withdrew it. Send your requests to [email protected].
10. Right to complain
If you think we process your data in breach of the law, you have the right to complain to the supervisory authority: the Commission for Personal Data Protection (CPDP), 2 Prof. Tsvetan Lazarov Blvd, Sofia 1592, tel. 02/915 3 518, email: [email protected], website: cpdp.bg.

Browser and app notifications (Web Push)
If you turn on notifications ("Get the important news from Burgas" or the "Notifications" button at the bottom of the site), your browser creates a push notification subscription. We store only the technical data of this subscription: the address of your browser's push service (endpoint), the two cryptographic keys the browser generates (p256dh and auth), the language of the site version you subscribed from, and the browser type. We do not collect names, emails or phone numbers.
Purpose and basis: sending news and urgent alerts from Burgas and the region in the language you chose, based on your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). We send no more than three notifications a day.
Retention: until you unsubscribe. Subscriptions that the push service reports as expired are deleted automatically.
How to unsubscribe: press "Stop notifications" at the bottom of the site, or block notifications for burgasmedia.com in your browser or app settings. We delete the subscription from our database at the next check. Notifications are delivered through your browser's push service (for example Google, Mozilla or Apple), which handles the data under its own rules.
Mobile app: the BurgasMedia app for Android is a wrapper for this site. It uses the same notifications and the same rules, and it does not collect any extra data.
