The former school building in Kameno will become a town-run centre where children, pupils and young people can take part in creative activities and classes. It will open very soon, Mayor Zhelyo Vardunski told a regular session of the municipal council.

The building is at 1A Dimitar Blagoev Street. Workers are now finishing the last repairs.

The centre will run activities for children aged 0 to 3, as well as creative workshops, hobby groups, interest clubs and sports. Children with special educational needs will have a separate space where they will work with specialists.

Councillors voted unanimously to approve the rules on how the centre is organised and what it does.

Vardunski also said a second cash machine should start working next week in the chitalishte (community cultural centre) in Kameno. He said residents will have one more place in town to withdraw cash.
