Today, the third ship with Argentine sunflower arrives, and it has been ordered to carry out sampling with a team from Sofia, Varna, and representatives of branch organizations. The goal is to make all processes in state control transparent and the same for everyone.

On the labels of thawed and frozen foods, from today onwards, the freezing date and the thawing date will be indicated. 100% food control is being restored, particularly on chicken meat from Poland, due to suspicions of salmonellosis.

Border control is being strengthened due to a problem with the movement of animals. A truck has been detained in Ruse, which shows a channel that is not new. Piles of bones from an illegal slaughterhouse near Ihtiman have been discovered, where Romanian ear tags were found. The damage from the illegal trade in animals is significant.

Mass inspections are starting, which will be announced after the results. The Director of the "Food Control" Directorate at the Bulgarian Food Safety Agency (BFSA) announced inspections on the movement of live animals and the offering of meat and products of animal origin.

The inspections are more of a campaign nature, but they are expected to be introduced as routine.
