The capsized cargo ship Horiv is expected to enter Bulgaria's area of responsibility within 24 hours, the Ministry of Transport and Communications said. Officials are tracking its movements in real time.

The navy will send a ship to inspect the Horiv.

Transport and communications minister Georgi Peev and defence minister Dimitar Stoyanov met over the case and agreed how the authorities will act. The aim is to keep shipping in the area safe.

Sailors will receive regular notices.

The ministry promised to update the public promptly as the situation develops.
