Stefan Tsanev to Head 'Port Prim Art Fest' in Burgas

THE EIGHTH EDITION OF "PORT PRIM ART FEST" OPENS, STEFAN TSANEV LEADS THE CREATIVE PLEIADE

The eighth edition of the prestigious "Port Prim Art Fest" will take place in the heart of Burgas between October 1 and 4. The event, organized by Grand Hotel & SPA "Primoretz" with the support of the Municipality of Burgas, promises to be a feast for the senses and the soul, bringing together prominent names from contemporary Bulgarian culture. The creative director of the event is the artist Stefan Bozhkov, who is part of the rich palette of artists.

One of the festival's highlights is undoubtedly the participation of the emblematic Bulgarian poet, writer, and playwright Stefan Tsanev. He will be a guest of honor from the very first day of the event, and within the framework of the forum, his play "The Last Night of Socrates" will be presented on the stage of the NHC. The performance is directed by Sunny Syninski, and in the main roles, we will see established names like Ivaylo Hristov, Irini Zhambonas, and Atanas Atanasov.

From literature to music: A program for every taste

The festival will offer a diverse and intense program, which begins on Wednesday, October 1. The opening will take place at the Burgas Art Gallery "Petko Zadgorski", where a joint exhibition will be arranged with works by Gergana Nikolova, Anabel Hamamdjieva, Lilyana Aleksandrova, Rafail Georgiev - Rafo, Tsvetan Krastev, Stefan Churchuliev, and Stefan Bozhkov. Admission is free, and the artists will be present in person to meet the public.

On the same day, also at the gallery, the Burgas audience will have the opportunity to meet the famous television host Radina Chervenkova. She will present her book "I Was Not There Before", promising to touch those present with "her charm, strength, sensitivity, deep emotionality, and delightful wisdom".

On Thursday, October 2, the festival continues with film screenings. In the hall "Petya Dubarova" at the Sea Casino, there will be a selection of short films, chosen by the International Short Film Festival "Quarantine". Admission is free, and the festival director Georgi Krastev will personally present the screenings.

In the evening of the same day, the NHC Culture House will host a musical event. The preview of "GLOBAL POP" – a concert by Nina Nikolina LIVE – will take place there. Her music, representing "an unforgettable meeting of Bulgarian roots with the rhythms of the global stage", will be presented together with Martin Tashev (vocals, trumpet), Tanya Parvanova and Biserka Pilarska (vocals), Martin Denev (keyboards), and Kalin Velyov (drums, percussion). Tickets for the event can be purchased at the "Chasovnika" box office and through the Eventim network.

The program continues on Friday, October 3, with a theater performance at the NHC Culture House. The audience will be able to enjoy the guest performance of THEATER 199 "Valentin Stoychev" with the play "The Last Night of Socrates" by Stefan Tsanev.

On Saturday, October 4, at the Grand Hotel & SPA "Primoretz," the journalist and writer Georgi Milkov will present his book "Rhinoceros in the Bathroom". The literary premiere will be held in the hotel's Conference Hall, with free admission for all who wish to attend.

The "Port Prim Art Fest" is shaping up to be one of the most significant cultural events for Burgas this autumn, offering a rich palette of arts and bringing some of the brightest names in contemporary Bulgarian culture to one stage.
