The graphic art of Bulgaria meets its admirers in another large-scale exhibition, which promises to reveal the richness of local comics. On August 15, Friday, at 7:00 PM in the "Prof. Dimitar Avramov" exhibition hall, an impressive collection starts, uniting the works of more than a hundred Bulgarian authors.
The exhibition presents impressive 150 panels that trace the evolution of comics from its classical forms to contemporary graphic stories. Visitors will have a unique opportunity to follow the visual transformation of this artistic genre, which encompasses various stylistic directions.
Among the exceptional highlights are the works of legendary names such as Lyuben Zidarov, Vadim Lazarkevich, Alexander Denkov, Petar Stanimirov, and Evgeni Yordanov. A special place is dedicated to the cult magazine "Duga", which between 1979 and 1992 shaped the aesthetic sense of entire generations of Bulgarian readers.
The organizers have prepared an extremely diverse presentation that will attract both adult fans carrying nostalgic memories and young enthusiasts who are just entering the world of comics. The exhibition promises to offer an authentic look at the development of visual storytelling in Bulgaria.
The event is accessible to all interested in visual arts, with free entry. This is an exceptional chance to touch original illustrations and get to know the characters that have formed the unique Bulgarian comic language.
