Pomorie is putting together a group to visit its twin town of Nea Anchialos in Greece, where locals will welcome the miracle-working icon of St George the Great Martyr from the Pomorie monastery. Anyone who wants to can join.

The trip costs €320, with two travel options.

The community in Nea Anchialos has planned a programme for 13 to 15 November 2026, including a symposium.

Metropolitan Arsenios of Sliven will open the symposium and Metropolitan Ignatios of Demetrias will close it. Ventsislav Karavalchev, a lecturer at the Faculty of Theology at Sofia University, will give a talk titled "The Eight Ecumenical Patriarchs from Anchialos". Historian and theologian Katelis Viglas will speak on "Jeremias the Great: Life and Contribution".

Those who want to go can sign up by phone.
