Foreign minister Velislava Petrova said Bulgaria stands with Poland after a shooting in Krakow that killed six people. She sent condolences to her Polish counterpart Radoslaw Sikorski and to the people of Poland.
The shooting began on Saturday at about 3pm in the city centre. Police in Lesser Poland first reported five dead and more than 10 hurt. The toll later rose to six dead.

"Our thoughts are with the families of the dead. We wish a quick recovery to the injured, including the police officers who stopped the attacker," Petrova wrote on X.
The attacker drove a car into the crowd on the square and fired a long-barrelled gun from a window, aiming at no one in particular, police said. A total of 16 people were hurt, including two police officers and the attacker himself.
The bodies of three people were found in the attacker's home, Polish prime minister Donald Tusk said. Police said they were his father, 53, his mother, 52, and his sister, 20.
