Eighty students in grades 9 to 12 from specialised high schools in Burgas will get hands-on experience with high technology at the national "Young in Robotics" festival.
They will assemble an industrial cobot, program an electric go-kart and take part in EnduroSat's "Sunflower Mission". The festival is looking for ways to link the students' skills to work with artificial intelligence and deep tech.
The programme also includes a discussion on how school education relates to the skills needed for the jobs of the future. School heads, teachers and education experts will take part. From business, the speakers will be managers from the high-tech sector, engineers and established employers from industry.
The organisers say they want a constructive and honest talk, not another formal conference. They want people aged 6 to 22 to move smoothly from school into the world that follows, and to find that what they learned is useful there.
The lecture part will end with a message from the young people themselves, whose future is the subject of the talks.
Entry is free, and the organisers recommend registering.
