Divers cleaned the underwater park off St Anastasia Island during the traditional autumn dive on Saturday and Sunday, 24 and 25 October. Organisers announced the programme on Wednesday, 21 October.
Divers from the non-profit association Friends of the Sea - Burgas took part, along with colleagues from Varna, Plovdiv and Sofia. After several dives, they cleaned the chapel, the icons and the statue of St Anastasia. The park is not far from the island's rocky shore.

The buoy that marks the site and makes visits easier was also replaced.
The divers say the sandy seabed around the park, once bare, is becoming a kind of underwater oasis, home to fish, crabs and seahorses. They are pleased with what they found.
Visitors learned more about diving as a sport, the underwater park and recreational diving. Island manager Pavlin Dimitrov told them the history of St Anastasia.
