Pomorie became a center of theatrical art during the seventeenth edition of the "Stage by the Sea" festival, which traditionally attracts young talents from different parts of the country.
Deputy Mayor Yancho Iliev extended an official greeting on behalf of Mayor Ivan Alexiev, emphasizing the exceptional importance of the forum. "This festival is more than an ordinary stage – it is a true celebration of talent, imagination, and dreams," he said, highlighting the ability of theatrical art to unite and inspire the young generation.
Jury Chairman Valeri Elichov added to the emotional atmosphere with his eloquent statement that "Pomorie is a city that charges all of Bulgaria with talents". His like-minded colleagues from the Community Center "Svetlina 1939", represented by Donka Kitanova, also expressed support for the participants.
The official opening was accompanied by an impressive concert featuring diverse performers. Among them were the "Ultraviolet" Dance Ensemble, the "Smile" Theater School from Burgas, the Pomorie Sports Dance Club, soloists Beloslava Popova and Nia Stoyanova. The celebration ended with an attractive children's disco under the starry sky.
The three-day theatrical marathon, covering an impressive 25 titles, was opened by the local troupe "Svetulka" with the premiere performance "Prediction with Butterflies". The production is based on an original text by 16-year-old Denitsa Vasileva, which further emphasizes the youth's creative potential.
On the first day, a total of eight productions were presented, with the program continuing in the hall of the Community Center "Svetlina - 1939" over the next two days. The organizers invite everyone to join the cultural event and support young talents.
