A new monument to the spiritual enlighteners in Pomorie

A three-meter marble monument of the holy brothers Cyril and Methodius now towers in the heart of Pomorie, located in close proximity to the "Nativity of the Theotokos" church. This significant cultural project was realized based on an idea by the honorary citizen of the town, Milcho Talev.

In today's global world, the image of the holy brothers is here to remind us that we are authentic, that we have a script and covenants to preserve and pass on to our children.

Creative team and realization

The execution of the monument was entrusted to the internationally recognized sculptor Assoc. Prof. Georgi Minchev. The project was presented to the public in August 2025 and received full support from Mayor Ivan Aleksiev.
