The University of Forestry is opening a new branch in the city of Burgas to provide the region with high-quality higher education and to advance its scientific and applied activities. This new initiative expands the university's academic presence and allows young people to receive specialized training close to their home region.

The university will contribute to building sustainable partnerships in the fields of science, education, and practice, meeting modern economic and social needs. The Burgas branch is part of the institution's decade-long tradition of combining theory with practical application.

The official opening ceremony for the branch and the launch of the 2026/2027 academic year will be held on September 23, 2026, at 11:00 AM at "Tria Space", 2nd floor, "Central Park" complex – Burgas /2 Dame Gruev Blvd/ . The celebration will be attended by:

  • the Mayor of Burgas, Dimitar Nikolov;
  • representatives of the municipal structure and the regional administration;
  • representatives of the local academic community;
  • partner organizations;
  • representatives of the media and business sectors;
  • current and future students of the university.

The opening of the branch is an implementation of the University of Forestry's long-term strategy and is the result of a consistent process requiring institutional commitment and close cooperation with the leadership of the Burgas Municipality.
