There were 27 road accidents in Bulgaria in the past 24 hours. Two people died and 28 were injured, the Interior Ministry said.

Since the start of 2026, 420 people have died on the roads. That is 41 more than in the same period last year, when 379 people were killed.

The ministry has recorded 5,881 road accidents since the start of the year, in which 7,282 people were injured.

In Sofia there were two serious crashes and 29 minor ones. Two people were hurt.
