The court in Pomorie decided: House arrest for Ivan Sivov

The District Court in Pomorie did not grant the prosecution's request for "remand in custody" and placed Ivan Sivov under house arrest. He is accused in the incident involving an inflatable water attraction near Aheloy, in which three Israeli tourists were seriously injured.

The court's motives are that there is no evidence that the accused will hide or commit another crime.

How did the incident happen?

During the hearing, it became clear that there were initially five tourists on the attraction. Two got off due to excessive weight, leaving three on board. Witnesses claim that the accused was operating the jet ski at high speed near the rocks.

While attempting to "evoke emotions" in the tourists through a sharp right turn, the attraction hit underwater rocks and capsized. The most severely injured tourist suffered a traumatic brain injury and was unconscious for 15 minutes.

Lack of legal capacity

In the courtroom, it was revealed that Ivan Sivov did not possess the necessary documents and legal capacity to operate a jet ski. Furthermore, according to data from the Ministry of Transport, the water base near Aheloy was unregistered.
