The eternal "La Traviata" takes over the stage of the State Opera – Burgas

On May 29th at 7:00 PM, the Burgas audience will immerse themselves in the tragic story of love, prejudice, and fatal inexorability through Giuseppe Verdi's masterpiece – "La Traviata".

"La Traviata" is an operatic classic that invariably thrills with its magnificent music and intense dramatic thread.

Star cast and international conductor

Taking the conductor's podium is Darius Wisniewski from Luxembourg. The charming soprano Ilina Mihaylova steps into the role of Violetta Valéry, and Alfredo Germont will be portrayed by the charismatic tenor Reinaldo Droz. The performance also features a constellation of established soloists such as Alexander Krunev and Maria Yurkovskaya.

Director's interpretation and scenography

The direction by Prof. Dr. Alexander Tekeliev combines original techniques, while the scenography by Catalin Arbore uses mirror images as a symbol of the characters' spiritual metamorphoses.
