The Far-1946 community cultural centre (chitalishte) in Burgas will perform songs from its anniversary album "Ray of Hope" at the second concert show marking its 80th anniversary, the centre said.
The show starts at 6pm on Thursday, 26 November, in the hall on the second floor of the Regional Administration building in Burgas.
The album was released for the anniversary. Vanyo Valchev wrote the lyrics and Milena Dobreva the music. The two work together as a creative duo. The organisers say the new songs will touch the hearts of the Burgas audience.
Dozens of amateur performers, groups and friends of the arts will appear on stage. They include the "Smile" theatre school, led by artistic director Rumyana Kraleva, the "Radiance" ballet, with choreographer Gabriela Stefanova, and other groups at the centre.
The concert is part of the centre's official annual festive programme for 2026. Bulgaria also marks 170 years of the chitalishte movement this year, and the organisers call Far-1946 a modern keeper of spirituality, traditions and Bulgarian culture.
Burgas is bidding to be European Capital of Culture in 2032, and the event supports the bid. Bulgaria's Ministry of Culture provided financial support.
