The prestigious musical forum "Opera of the Sanctuary" continues its exciting series with the exceptional performance of Giuseppe Verdi's opera "Il Trovatore", which will take place on August 2nd at the ancient sanctuary of Begliktas near Primorsko.
Leading soloists from national opera stages will present the classical work under the direction of Maestro Ivaylo Krinchev - an established conductor, winner of the "Emil Chakarov" award and a leading figure in the contemporary opera world. Krinchev has already had a successful production of "Il Trovatore" in the same location in 2021.
The main vocal parts are entrusted to distinguished performers. Tenor Kostadin Andreev will interpret the role of Manrico, while soprano Maria Tsvetkova-Madjarova will recreate the image of Leonora - one of the most emblematic roles in her artistic career.
The impressive cast also includes mezzo-soprano Daniela Dyakova as Azucena, baritone Alexander Krunev in the role of Count di Luna, and bass Kostadin Mechkov as Ferrando. Additional participants will be Lina Peeva, Milen Dinolov, Nikolay Nikolov, and Valyu Totev.
The comprehensive production will include soloists, choir, orchestra, and ballet of the State Opera - Burgas. The professional team encompasses choir conductor Alexander Chepanov, ballet repetiteur Marina Zmeyeva-Markova, and assistant directors Lina Peeva and Petar Tikholov.
"Il Trovatore" is defined as one of Verdi's most popular works, telling a dramatic story of love, revenge, and redemption. The authentic Thracian landscape of the sanctuary will enhance the emotional impact of the performance.
The "Opera of the Sanctuary" festival is realized through the partnership between the State Opera - Burgas and the Municipality of Primorsko. The organizers have prepared special logistics for the audience's convenience, with technical support entrusted to eng. Kiril Yanev from Studio "Balkandji".
The next title in the program will be another emblematic Verdi work - "Rigoletto", again under the conductorship of Ivaylo Krinchev.
