At the end of 2025, the State Opera – Burgas will present its traditional festive performances of "The Nutcracker" to the music of P. I. Tchaikovsky. The performances are planned for December 5th and December 22nd in the hall of the Burgas Opera, starting at 7:00 PM.

The ballet fairy tale is inspired by the story by E.T.A. Hoffmann. Through the exquisite dance art, the artists from the ballet troupe will tell the story of Masha and her adventures in the magical world, turning the Nutcracker into a prince.

In addition to the soloists and ensemble of the ballet, students of the Children's Ballet Theater "Kapka" also participate in the performance. The scenography and costumes are the work of Radostin Chomakov, and the technical realization is provided through lighting and special effects. Assistant director is Petar Tiholov.

The production by Prof. Hikmet Mehmedov combines the best of the festive look of classical ballet. In the roles we will see Ilina Konstantinova as Masha, Daniel Tichkov as the Nutcracker, Yana Berduta as the Black Queen, Kiril Filipov as Drosselmeyer and Andrea Sotirova as Fritz. Julia Letzi, Rafaela-Maria Kyul, Anelia Ivanova and many others also participate in the performance.
