The children's ballet "Hansel and Gretel" comes to the stage of the State Opera Burgas on October 17, 2026 at 11:00 am. The production is set to music from classical works.

Maria Tabakova is behind the adaptation, choreography and stage direction, while costume designer Natali Markova made the costumes.

Francesco Russo takes the lead as Hansel, with Nanako Sato as Gretel. Polina Pasha plays the witch, and Daniel Tichkov plays the Wicked Cat. Tichkov also plays the father, alongside Laia Ramon as the mother.

Also on stage are Gergana Georgieva as the Dew Fairy and Raya Chakarov as the Cupcake Fairy. Kiril Filipov plays the cotton candy seller.

The ballet cast includes Anna Pasello, Giulia Lezzi, Kalina Nedelcheva, Raya Chakarova, Gergana Georgieva, Patrick Gill, Haru Nakagawa and Shun Kalafune.
