The Mayor of Pomorie Municipality, Ivan Aleksiev, has issued Order No. RD-16-1725/01.09.2026, mandating traffic restrictions for vehicles in the town of Pomorie. Pursuant to Article 44, Paragraph 2 of the Local Self-Government and Local Administration Act and in accordance with Article 22 of Ordinance No. 5 on the organization of transport activities in Pomorie Municipality, vehicle access to the central part of the city is restricted for the period from 16.09.2026 to 18.09.2026 inclusive.

During these three days, St. St. Cyril and Methodius Square will become part of the city's pedestrian zone and will be completely closed to vehicular traffic. Additional restrictions are also imposed on Knyaz Boris I St., in the section from the aforementioned square to the intersection with Veliko Tarnovo St. In that area, the traffic ban will be in effect from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

The changes require adjustments to the public transport routes operated by Union Ivkoni Ltd. for lines No. 1, No. 2, No. 4, and the line to the Cemetery Park:

  • In the period 16.09.2026 – 18.09.2026, until 5:00 PM, buses will follow their current route with the final stop being "Ruski Pametnik". The stop on Cherkovna St. will be removed and replaced by a new one on Tsar Asen St., located opposite the ViK (Water and Sanitation) building in Pomorie.
  • After 5:00 PM, buses will use the stop near ViK – Pomorie as their final stop. During these hours, vehicles will not pass through the stops on Tsar Asen St. / Cherkovna St., "Ruski Pametnik", and "Ivan Vazov" school.

The oversight of the implementation is assigned to the Pomorie District Police Department, the Deputy Mayor for "SIT", the "Public Order and Security" unit of the Municipality, and the Director of the Municipal Enterprise "SUOI". The document has been sent to the Manager of "Chistota Pomorie" EOOD, the Chief of the Regional Fire Safety and Civil Protection Service, "MBAL Pomorie" EOOD, the Emergency Medical Center, as well as to "Union Ivkoni" Ltd. for information.

The order has been published on the official website of the Municipality and placed on the information boards in the administrative building of the Municipality and the CAO to inform the citizens and guests of the town of Pomorie.
