Police in Pomorie have detained a 45-year-old man found with a blood alcohol level of 2.71 per mille after he refused to provide blood and urine samples for chemical analysis. The incident occurred last night around 02:00, when Ministry of Interior officers stopped a "Volkswagen Passat" passenger car for inspection.

The driver of the vehicle is a native of the village of Kaloyanov, Sliven region. Due to the violation, expedited proceedings have been initiated, and the man has been detained for a period to be announced to the media. Information regarding the incident was provided to the media by the Burgas Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Interior, confirming that this is yet another heavily intoxicated driver caught in the Burgas region.
