Burgas Regional Court is hearing a request today from the man on trial over the 2025 ATV crash in Sunny Beach to be released from custody. His lawyers want the court to replace pre-trial detention with house arrest and electronic monitoring.

The defence says he has been held for too long. Lawyers also point to evidence from the previous hearing, including video from a vehicle inspection station.

Today's hearing deals only with his custody, not the case itself. The trial is set for 3 November.
