Officers from the organised crime directorate (GDBOP), the border police and the State Agency for National Security (DANS) have found an illegal cigarette factory with high-tech equipment near Karnobat, Burgas regional police (ODMVR) said.
The raid was a joint, specialised operation overseen by the Burgas District Prosecutor's Office. The Chief Directorate for Combating Organised Crime, the Chief Directorate Border Police and the State Agency for National Security took part.
Representatives of the three agencies will explain at a briefing today how the factory worked and what the raid found.
