A military appeals court will decide what restrictions to put on Martin Vladimirov, a National Protection Service (NSO) bodyguard charged over an incident with journalist Sonya Koltuklieva. The Sofia Military Court released him from custody a few days ago without setting any restrictions.
Koltuklieva tried to ask parliament speaker Mihaela Dotsova a question and opened the door of her car, which was already shut. The bodyguard who protects Dotsova pushed her. Her injury has been classed as moderate bodily harm.

In its reasons, the Sofia Military Court says there is not enough evidence that the bodyguard hit the journalist, or that a blow caused the moderate bodily harm.
After the incident, NSO chief Gen. Emil Tonev resigned at the president's request.
