Burgas District Prosecutor's Office takes over the "ViK" case
The District Prosecutor's Office in Burgas has taken over the pre-trial proceedings related to the activities of "ViK – Burgas" (Water and Sanitation – Burgas). The investigation is being conducted by the General Directorate for Combating Organized Crime (GDBOP) regarding an organized criminal group.
The case was transferred from the Sofia City Prosecutor's Office due to evidence of crimes committed on the territory of the Burgas region.
The prosecutor's office clarified that several recusals of prosecutors were granted, emphasizing that there is no data indicating a connection between them and any potential defendants. At the moment, there are no persons charged in the pre-trial proceedings.
