Weather today: Sun with developing cumulus clouds

Today before noon the weather will be mostly sunny. Around and after noon, the development of cumulus clouds is expected, with short-term precipitation possible only in isolated places, mainly in mountainous areas.

Temperatures will be pleasant, ranging between 22° and 27° in most places, while in Sofia they will reach around 24°.

Forecast for the Black Sea coast and the mountains

  • Black Sea coast: Sunny before noon, with no precipitation afterwards. Sea water temperature 16°-17°.
  • Mountains: Short-term rain is possible mainly in the Balkan Mountains and the Rila-Rhodope massif. The wind will be moderate to strong from the north-northeast.

What to expect during the week?

On Tuesday and Wednesday, sunny weather will prevail with temperatures up to 29°. On Wednesday evening, however, the situation changes – with the passage of a cold atmospheric front, cool air will move in. Short-term precipitation with thunderstorms and an increased risk of hail are expected in Northern and Eastern Bulgaria.
