The Municipality of Pomorie published a detailed report on the first month of the large-scale campaign to regulate the tourism sector, conducted in June 2025. The results show significant administrative activity to legalize tourism services in the region.
Statistical data reveal the scale of the actions taken: a total of 275 applications were submitted for accommodation categorization, 9 applications for food and entertainment establishments, and 176 processed patent declarations. Additionally, 413 documents related to the categorization of tourist sites were processed.
Starting from July 1, 2025, large-scale field inspections will be conducted without prior notification. Control actions will cover various areas and settlements, with a special focus on facilities advertised on online platforms such as Booking.com, Airbnb, OLX, TikTok, and Facebook.
The municipal administration emphasizes that strict measures will be taken in case of identified violations. Official records will be drawn up and competent institutions such as the Consumer Protection Commission and the National Revenue Agency will be notified.
