Sozopol Municipality Thanks for Participation in the Go2Recycling Campaign

The Mayor of Sozopol Municipality, Mr. Tihomir Yanakiev, and the team responsible for the implementation of project BSB00027 (Go2Recycling) sincerely thank the collectives of educational institutions in Sozopol Municipality, the students and their families for their participation in the international competition for the collection of plastic waste, through participation in the “Go2Recycling” campaign in the period March 1 - 31, 2026.

For the successful conduct of the campaign, three-compartment bins for separate waste collection were provided in schools and kindergartens, containers for separate waste collection /yellow and green/ were provided in all schools, and separate transportation and handover were organized.

As a result of the campaign, over 400 kg of plastic waste ready for recycling were handed over.

As a gesture of gratitude, Sozopol Municipality provided all schools with garden tools, flowering plants, and bulbs for planting.

We are confident that the color of each planted plant will awaken a sense of responsibility towards nature and our surrounding environment.

The campaigns organized in the implementation of project BSB00027 (Go2Recycling) continue in the following months. Very soon, on April 23 and 24, the campaign for households will take place, within which bins for separate waste collection will be provided in households. In May, we will rely on all citizens to provide separately collected waste in the containers located in Sozopol, Chernomorets, and the village of Ravadinovo.
