During a meeting, the Minister of Youth and Sports, Encho Keryazov, together with Vessela Letcheva – President of the Bulgarian Olympic Committee, expressed their categorical support for Ivet Goranova's ambition to join the management of the World Karate Federation. According to the participants in the discussion, the inclusion of the Olympic champion in international structures would guarantee greater weight for Bulgaria and an opportunity for active influence on the future processes of the sport.

The dialogue during the visit also covered issues of strategic importance, with the prospect of karate regaining its recognized place among Olympic sports taking center stage. Regarding this goal, Minister Keryazov emphasized that the Olympic movement should open doors to disciplines that have long-standing traditions and a proven positive influence on youth development.

Arguing for the importance of karate as a tool for socialization, the minister emphasized: "Karate is much more than a sport – it is a means of education and building values in young people. Discipline, respect, perseverance, self-control, and the pursuit of development are an integral part of this sport and make it an important tool for the physical and personal development of adolescents. That is precisely why I believe that karate has its deserved place in the Olympic family."

The discussion, which focused on the future development of the martial art, was also attended by representatives of the international organization – the President of the World Karate Federation, Antonio Espinós, as well as Assistant General Secretary Davor Cipek.
