Nikolai Denkov, who leads the We Continue the Change group in parliament, has asked prime minister Rumen Radev and commander-in-chief Iliana Yotova to say why the war is getting closer to Bulgaria's border. He posted the demand on Facebook after a drone hit a container ship off Cape Kaliakra today.
Defence minister Dimitar Stoyanov reported the strike near Shabla. The ship was hit while defence ministers and military chiefs from Bulgaria, Romania and Turkey were meeting in Sofia to discuss security and defence in the Black Sea region.
On Tuesday, drones attacked in the Black Sea near the Romanian coast.
Denkov says Radev and Yotova are keeping their heads down before the aggressor, Putin, while the war keeps moving closer to the border. He claims the prime minister yesterday put the blame for the attacks off the Romanian coast on the Romanians themselves, because they called the drones Russian and so angered "peace-loving" Putin.
Denkov asks the government when it will ask the aggressor for peace talks, and whether it still sees diplomacy as the only way out of the war after the Sofia meeting.
He also wants to know what the meeting decided, and how Bulgaria's territory and people will be protected from the war, which he says Radev and Yotova have let reach the shore.
