Nessebar's Triumph club won silver in the senior girls' team event at the national rhythmic gymnastics championships (category B) in Stara Zagora. The team was Siana Harizanova and Raya Korshutova, Nessebar council said.

A total of 28 teams from across Bulgaria took part in the team event.

Harizanova also came second in the individual all-around, making her national vice-champion. She won silver in the hoop and finished fourth in the ball.

Korshutova placed in the top 12 in her age group.

Viktoria Koleva made her championship debut in the junior girls' group for under-9s. She was seventh in the rope final and ninth in the all-around.

Siyana Yordanova and Denitsa Andreeva coach the girls.

Nessebar mayor Nikolay Dimitrov congratulated the gymnasts and their coaches and called their performance brilliant. "Support for sports clubs is a key priority for Nessebar council," he said. He said the council wants to give talented children everything they need to develop their skills, believe in themselves and win awards they can be proud of.

"I am sure many more podiums and medals await our young gymnasts," Dimitrov added.
