Svetoslav Bedin, a product of the club's youth system, scored the only goal as Neftochimik won 1-0 at Spartak Plovdiv for their sixth straight win in the South-East Third League. The round 12 game was played at the Spartak sports complex in Plovdiv.

The goal came late in the game. Kosta Dalev was clear of the home keeper, but his shot hit the crossbar. The ball bounced to Bedin, who put it in the net.

The "Sheikhs" played without some of their first-team regulars. Kristiyan Ilchev, Anton Uzunov, Gencho Dalev and Galin Dimov stayed in Burgas with injuries. Centre-back Martin Nikolov was also out, serving a suspension after his red card in Wednesday's match against Haskovo.

Milen Gamakov is back with the "Greens", a club he has played for before.

The Plovdiv side suffered only their second defeat of the season. Before the game they had nine wins and one defeat in 10 matches.

On 22 October we reported that Neftochimik beat Haskovo 2-0 at the Lazur stadium for their fifth straight win in the South-East Third League. In that game, defender Martin Nikolov was shown a second yellow card and sent off.

Neftochimik host Rodopa (Smolyan) at the Lazur stadium on 31 October at 2.30pm. Spartak Plovdiv play Botev II on 1 November, also at 2.30pm.
