In the "Zhana Chimboleva" amphitheater of Old Nessebar, the official award ceremony for the prestigious mathematics competition was held. The event was organized under the patronage of Mayor Nikolay Dimitrov and gathered over 1,200 participants from various countries.
The highlight of the forum was the presentation of the "Mayor's Cup", which was won by Kamen Pehlivanov from Sofia and Anya Teshevich from Belgrade. The two talents were identified as part of the eight most prominent mathematical stars of the tournament.
Among the distinguished were also students from Secondary School "Lyuben Karavelov" - Nessebar, Georgi Georgev and Ilin Raslan, who won silver medals. Their impressive result included perfectly solving all tasks in an incredible 25 minutes.
The twelfth edition of the competition united young mathematical talents from a total of 13 countries, including Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Estonia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Malta, Romania, North Macedonia, Serbia, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, and the Philippines.
The official start of the final round was set on June 28 with a solemn ceremony in the courtyard of the host - Secondary School "Lyuben Karavelov" in Nessebar. During the event, the so-called "legends" of the tournament were also honored - participants with three cups from previous editions.
