The Mayor of Nessebar, Nikolay Dimitrov, expressed his support for the athletes, who inspire with their achievements, stating: "We are proud of the successes of our athletes, who have once again brought glory to Nessebar at prestigious competitions. These medals are the result of not only hard work and discipline, but also demonstrate a true dedication to water sports. The municipality will continue to support its competitors, who inspire with their achievements." These words were prompted by the excellent results achieved by representatives of the local water sports club "Solena Voda" at the end of August.

During two major events – the "Black Sea Cup" Regatta and the National Kiteboarding Championship, held in Burgas – a total of nearly 70 kite surfers from all over Bulgaria and abroad competed. In the hydrofoil discipline during the "Black Sea Cup," Emil Atanasov climbed to the second step of the podium, followed by his teammate Radoslav Strezov, who took third place.

At the National Kiteboarding Championship, Emil Atanasov once again demonstrated class in the hydrofoil, winning a bronze medal, while Radoslav Strezov placed fourth. Within the same championship, Strezov also distinguished himself in the hangtime discipline, which requires performing high jumps in the air, where he deservedly earned the third position.
