Four drivers have been caught operating vehicles under the influence of alcohol or drugs in the Burgas region over the last few days, the Burgas Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Interior reported.

The first incident was recorded on Friday at approximately 10:45 a.m. in the village of Prosenik. During a routine check of a Suzuki Grand Vitara, it was established that a 42-year-old man from the village of Rozhden was driving with 2.74 per mille of alcohol in his blood.

On Saturday, at approximately 04:40 a.m., on Burgas’s Stefan Stambolov Street, near the “Fabrik” establishment, a 22-year-old local resident was stopped while driving a Peugeot 3008. His breathalyzer test showed 1.21 per mille of alcohol.

Around 1:00 p.m. that same day in Pomorie, on Knyaz Boris I Street near the “Stefani” beer house, officers from the Pomorie Police Department stopped an 18-year-old local resident behind the wheel of a Ford Focus. The young man was tested for drug use, and the sample tested positive for cannabis. The driver refused to provide blood and urine samples for chemical analysis.

The final violation was detected on Sunday around 12:05 a.m. in the village of Cheresha. Police officers from the Ruen Police Department stopped a Suzuki Vitara driven by a 47-year-old man from the same village. It was determined that he was driving with 1.76 per mille of alcohol in his system.
