The "Paper Works" exhibition will open at the Bogoridi Gallery in Burgas on Tuesday, 27 October 2026, at 6.30pm. In all, 63 artists from Bulgaria and Turkey are part of the project.

The show is run by the Yulia Krasovska Art School, part of the Architecture and Art Foundation in Burgas, and the Pinelo Art Gallery in Istanbul. Architect Yulia Krasovska, Cem Angelos Üstüner, Yasemin Doryan and Ercan Dag coordinate it. They come from art and education circles in both countries.

The Bogoridi Gallery, Ruen Municipality and the Regional College of the Chamber of Architects in Bulgaria in Burgas are partners.

Bulgaria is represented by artists from the Burgas Artists' Society, architects from the Chamber of Architects in Bulgaria and academics from Prof. Dr Asen Zlatarov University in Burgas. The Turkish side includes university art lecturers and members of the independent collective Bağımsız Sanatçılar Kolektifi (BSK).

The organisers call the exhibition an artistic dialogue between the two countries through contemporary art. They say art is a common language that crosses borders, and that the show brings together different cultures, professional communities and creative approaches. The participants have different backgrounds and artistic languages, and the organisers see this variety as a source of inspiration.

The opening programme includes Daria Belcheva, a fourth-grade pupil at the Prof. Pancho Vladigerov National School of Music and Dance Arts, and teachers Alexander Boyadzhiev and Lyudmila Ivanova.

The exhibition runs from 27 to 29 October, and entry is open to everyone.
