Burgas hosts the premiere eco-spectacle "Voices of the Sea" on November 28th and 29th. The spectacle, created by young people based on real stories about climate change on the Black Sea coast, is the first verbatim theatre production in the city.

Verbatim theatre reproduces the exact words of real people, transforming theatre into a socially significant tool. The performances will be held at two locations with free admission:

  • November 28th, 18:30, Youth International Center (YIC), Meden Rudnik district
  • November 29th, 18:30, Community Center "Vasil Levski 1937", Gorno Ezerovo district

"Voices of the Sea" is the result of months of work collecting authentic stories. The project combines training in verbatim theatre, environmental education, and the participation of volunteers.

Verbatim theatre gives a voice to real people, builds empathy for environmental problems, and encourages civil dialogue. Organized by the ECOgART Foundation with the support of Burgas Municipality and other partners.
