More than 1,300 runners from 27 countries have so far signed up for the Burgas 2026 marathon on 15 November. Online sign-up is open until 31 October.

As well as the classic 42km and 21km races, there are 5km and 10km runs. The rules let runners do both shorter races back to back. The 5km starts at 9am and the 10km at 10:30am.

The children's run is free.

On 21 October we reported that nearly 1,200 people had signed up for the Burgas marathon. About 300 had entered the 5km, about 350 each the 10km and the half marathon, and about 150 the 42km.

This year the start and finish will be in a new area. In the days before the race, Burgas will host an expo on sport and healthy living.
