A Musical Journey to the Heart of Latin America

On July 17 at 9:00 PM, the open-air stage on Saint Anastasia Island will turn into a hot Havana. The State Opera – Burgas opens the "Party on the Island" 2026 season with the premiere concert-spectacle "Love Without Translation".

"There is music that is not just listened to – it is experienced. There is love that cannot be translated," shares maestro Strazimir Pavlov, author of the concept and script.

Who is behind the project?

The spectacle is the latest jewel in the repertoire of the Burgas Opera, created by the talented conductor and composer Strazimir Pavlov. The program will feature:

  • Soloists: Ilina Mihaylova (Alma), Reynaldo Droz (Mateo), and Nona Krastnikova (The Narrator).
  • Ballet: Julia Lezzi and Patrick Gill.
  • Vocals: "Havana" trio (Stefka Hristozova, Marioris Mena Faez, and Milen Dinolov).

Favorite hits by the seashore

The audience will enjoy timeless classics such as "Guantanamera", "La Bamba", "Sway", "Dos Gardenias", and many other iconic melodies from Cuba and Mexico.
