The city of Burgas is hosting one of the most inspiring cultural events of the season, the “Musical Zografi” festival. It transforms the city into a creative laboratory where the boundaries between the arts blur, and music is painted while paintings acquire their own sound. The event, which will take place in the heart of the Sea Garden, promises to be a true feast for the senses.
Over the course of several days, the public will have the opportunity to witness a series of bold and unusual artistic encounters. Among the highlights of the program is the presentation of the unusual trio of piano, gadulka, and clarinet with their project “Magia”. The stage will also welcome the exquisite “Seasons” quartet, as well as debuting young talents who will present their art to a wide audience.
Special attention is given to the participation of the Burgas-based pianist and scholar Dr. Polina Antonova. She will present two of her new books to the public – "The Archive of Dimitar Nenov. Systematizations, Interpretations, Analyses" and "Panka Pelishek and Her Pianistic School". Following the literary meeting, Dr. Antonova will delight her fans with a concert featuring works by Bulgarian composers.
The finale of the festival will be more than impressive. It will include the debut of a guitar and violin duo consisting of Teo Nikolov and Yoana Dakova. Immediately after them, Yana Lolova (piano) and Antonio Ilioski (cello) will take the stage, putting a fitting end to the event.
The symbiosis between music and painting is a key element of the festival's concept. During the concerts, the renowned Burgas artist Rumen Statkov will create art live, inspired by the sounds on stage. Viewers will have the unique opportunity to watch in real time as music is transformed into colors and shapes, experiencing a harmonious connection between two of the most powerful arts. An atmosphere of creative energy is expected in the hall, where every brushstroke will reflect the emotion of the sound.
Festival with a “Green” Heart
The organizers emphasize that “Musical Zografi” is more than just an ordinary cultural forum. It is an example of responsible culture, following the principles of the European Green Deal. With its minimal use of printed materials and an emphasis on digital programs, the event shows that art and nature can develop hand in hand. All events are held at the “Morsko Kazino” Cultural Center, located in the heart of the Sea Garden, which further reinforces the message of sustainability and environmental protection.
The festival is an open stage for talents and audiences without age and social boundaries. Everyone is welcome – from longtime connoisseurs of classical music, literature, and painting to young people who are looking for new and exciting artistic experiences. The organizers expect visitors of all ages, ready to immerse themselves in a cultural celebration where music becomes color and paintings become sound. Burgas transforms into a canvas on which new and unexpected cultural horizons are painted.
