The Bulgarian documentary "The Cruel Road" by director Deyan Bararev has won DOCK's Audience Award, a first in the festival's nine-year history.

The top prize at DOCK 2026 went to "Zelensky", directed by Yves Jeuland and Liza Vapné.

Burgas municipality gave its award to "The Mystery of the Star Squadron" by director Jan Borovec.

"Brutalism" by Miloš Jakovič and Hossein Fani won best short historical documentary, a category added to the festival's competition for the first time this year.

The historians' award went to "Hitler's Greatest Fear" by director Simona Risi.

The ceremony wrapped up six days of the festival, dedicated to documentary film and history. DOCK runs on funding from Burgas municipality and the National Film Center.
