Important rules for cleanliness in Sozopol Municipality

In connection with Order No. 8-Z-661/29.06.2022 of the Mayor of Sozopol Municipality, the mandatory rules for waste disposal are reminded:

  • Disposing of waste outside the containers is prohibited.
  • It is mandatory to close the lids and maintain cleanliness around the containers.
  • Commercial establishments and restaurants must store their trash inside the premises when the containers are full, rather than leaving it on the street.
  • Disposing of construction and bulky waste in or around household waste containers is prohibited.
  • Removing waste from containers and unauthorized burning of waste is prohibited.
Important: All container areas are under constant video surveillance, and violators will be sanctioned in accordance with the Waste Management Act (WMA).

Waste collection schedule:

  • Separate collection (paper, glass, plastic): Morning from 05:30 to 12:00 (on a route from the municipality through the Old Town to Chernomorets).
  • Mixed household waste: Night from 00:00 to 02:00 (for the Old Town area, the center, and the beach zones).
