Slavi Trifonov to Demerdzhiev: "The more you stay silent about 'Petrohan', the more suspicious you become"

The leader of "There Is Such a People", "Slavi Trifonov", has launched another sharp criticism at the Minister of Interior, "Ivan Demerdzhiev", due to the lack of public information regarding the "Petrohan" case. In a "Facebook" post, he accused the interior minister of evasive behavior and warned that silence on the matter is raising growing suspicions.

"How long, sir, are we supposed to wait for you? I will not stop asking, and if you do not stop being silent, we will enter a vicious cycle. The more you remain silent on the 'Petrohan' case, the more suspicious you become, Mr. Demerdzhiev," writes Trifonov. He thus emphasizes the lack of clear answers from the Ministry of Interior regarding the case, for which he has been demanding a public explanation for weeks.

In his post, Trifonov emphasizes that he has known many interior ministers and that a large part of them were "self-important bureaucrats." "Mr. Demerdzhiev, I have seen many ministers of the interior. The vast majority of them were self-important bureaucrats. I am sorry, but you are starting to remind me of one," he notes, pointing out that Demerdzhiev has only been a minister for two months, but is already showing behavior that he believes resembles previous officeholders.

The ITN leader also uses a personal, figurative metaphor to emphasize his persistence on the topic. "I didn't write this many letters in the army to the girlfriend I left in Pleven as I write to you every week. And I am not in love with you at all," writes Trifonov. According to him, the "Petrohan" case is important "because of the many questions that await their answers," clearly stating that "we are the ones asking the questions, and the answers are with you."

In the same post, Trifonov also addresses President "Rumen Radev," calling on him to intervene. "Mr. Demerdzhiev, I have seen many interior ministers... I am sorry, but you are starting to look like one. Very quickly – you have only been a minister for two months," he writes, before addressing a message directly to the head of state.

In his postscript, Trifonov insists that Radev take responsibility for the behavior of the minister he appointed. "Mr. Radev, I advise you to pay serious attention to the 'Petrohan' case and to Mr. Demerdzhiev, whom you appointed as Minister of Interior. People chose you, not your ministers. And if they shirk their duties, like Mr. Demerdzhiev, the responsibility is entirely yours," he states.

The ITN leader calls on the president to "advise the Minister of Interior to pull himself together and provide the much-needed answers regarding the 'Petrohan' case." "I am advising you quite in a friendly manner," Trifonov concludes his post, leaving a clear message that he has no intention of backing down from his demand for transparency on the case.
