Romanian officials say a bomb threat was made against a TAROM flight from Prague to Bucharest on Friday, 6 November. The plane carried 102 passengers. No explosive device was found.

The plane landed at 12:19pm at Henri Coanda international airport. Airport officials had been warned of a possible bomb on board. Romanian authorities confirmed the warning and, together with other agencies, put security measures in place.

Romania's intelligence service called the threat non-specific and said no extra action was needed at the airport. Airport officials say traffic at Henri Coanda continued as normal, and other flights took off safely and on schedule.

The warning is part of a series of bomb threats against passenger flights in Europe in recent days. On 5 November, a threat was made against a Wizz Air plane due to fly from Milan to Bucharest. Romanian services found no suspicious objects or explosives then either.

The threats have led to checks at other European airports. Romanian services are investigating the cases. No public link between them has been established.
