Investigations into illegal construction in Varna

The District and Regional Prosecutor's Offices in Varna have revealed current details regarding the large-scale inspections in the Baba Alino area. The institutions are working actively to establish violations related to illegal construction and unauthorized activities in the region.

Oleg Nevzorov at the center of the investigations

Businessman Oleg Nevzorov has been questioned as a witness in all initiated pre-trial proceedings. The spokesperson for the District Prosecutor's Office, Radoslav Lazarov, clarified that an investigation into official misconduct is currently underway.

"A distinction must be made between the administrative deportation procedure and the judicial extradition procedure," Lazarov emphasized regarding Nevzorov's status.

Five pre-trial proceedings

The administrative head of the Regional Prosecutor's Office, Nevena Ilieva, confirmed the seriousness of the actions:

  • A proceeding has been initiated for an established illegal borehole on one of the properties.
  • Large-scale searches were carried out in the offices of corporation "KUB", from where huge volumes of documents were seized.
  • A total of 5 pre-trial proceedings are currently underway, directly related to the illegal construction in the area.

The work on gathering evidence continues in cooperation with all competent state authorities, with the aim of fully clarifying the legal violations in the locality.
